1. Wiring direction: When installing the lightning arrester, you must pay attention to the input terminal IN and output terminal OUT, and do not connect them in reverse, otherwise, it will seriously affect the lightning protection effect and even affect the normal operation of the equipment. The input end of the lightning arrester is relative to the propagation direction of the lightning wave, that is, the feeder input end, and the output end is connected to the protected equipment.

2. Wiring mode: There are two types of wiring: series and parallel. Generally, only terminal wiring uses series connection, and the other uses parallel connection. The specific instructions of the manufacturer shall prevail.

3. Ground wire connection method: The ground wire length should be as short as possible, one end is directly crimped to the terminal of the lightning arrester, and the ground wire is connected to an independent grounding network (isolated from the electrical ground) or to the ground wire in the three-phase power supply. Pick up.

4. Installation location: The lightning arrester should be installed indoors. At the same time, pay attention that there are no flammable and explosive materials attached to the lightning arrester, such as oil depot (station), gas depot (station), explosives, gunpowder, fireworks, etc., to prevent electric sparks from causing fires.

5. Power-off operation: The power supply must be disconnected during installation. Live operation is strictly prohibited. Before operation, a multimeter must be used to test whether each busbar or terminal is completely powered off. Make sure that the power is off before wiring.

6. Rail installation: For the lightning protector installed on the rail, first clamp the lightning protector and the air switch on the guide rail, close the lightning protector and the air switch, and then fix it firmly with a fixed clip, and install it on the inner panel of the screen. The four corners of the lightning protector must be fixed firmly with screws, and the screw port must be cushioned. Pay attention to the positive and negative directions of the lightning protector and the air switch, and follow the rule of up and down.

7. Check the wiring: check the wiring if there is any contact, and deal with it immediately to avoid short-circuiting the equipment.

8. Equipment maintenance: The lightning arrester does not require special maintenance, just regularly check whether its connection is loose and whether the working status indicator is normal.
